हुम्ला जिल्ला विविधतायुक्त संस्कृति र प्रकुतिले भरिपूर्ण जिल्ला हो । यो जिल्लालाई पर्यावरणीय संस्कृतिको मुहान भनेर पनि चिनिन्छ । यहाँ बिभिन्न प्रकारका गैह्रकाष्ठ बनपैदावारहरु ,स्थानीय गाउँ समाजमा उवा पनि एक बहुप्रचलित अन्न हो । स्थानीहरु यस्लाई सातु ,खाजा,रोटी बनाएर खान्छन । यो हुम्लाको हिउदे बालि हो । मंशिरमा रोपेर जेठमा पाक्ने गर्दछ । यस्लाई जेठास भनेर नमकरण गरेका छन । जेठमा पाक्ने भएर । उमाको रुपमा पोलेर खाने गर्दछन । स्थानीयहरुको यति बेला धान रोपाने भएकोले ,खेतमा धान रोपेर र्फकदा सितलमा बसि उवाको अँठबाउदै आगेमा पोलल्दै खादै गर्दा छुटै आन्द हुन्छ ।
उवाको डाँठलाई पनि प्रयोगमा ल्याउने गर्दछन । उवको फल टिपी सकेपछि डाँठलाई घर वा लेखमा गाई गोरु राखने खर्कमा आटि अथावा तेस्रो घरको छत छापेर , पानि र हिउ तैरहने काम गर्दछ । र घरलाई सुरक्षीत गर्दछ । यस्को बहुआयमी प्रयोग हुने भएकोले यस्का खेती सबै हुम्ली बासीले गर्ने गर्दछन । यो खाली हुम्लामात्र होई र्कनाली भरि खेती गरेको पाईन्छ । यो बहु आयामी अन्न हो ।
Uwa
