10 daily habits that changed my life

Everyday good habits can make such a huge difference in your health and well-being.  In this video I will share 10 daily habits that have changed my life in many different ways.  My name is Ria and I am a full-time health care provider.  In today’s video we will talk about 10 daily habits that have made a huge difference in my life in various areas such as physical health, spiritual and mental health.  Before you go in I wanted to say a few things so you know the context.  The first thing that these daily habits have been the result of gradually getting used to the make-up of the last five years – is not something that happens overnight.  It is difficult to build habits and it takes time.  The second thing – even though these habits are everyday habits I don’t put pressure on them to do them every day especially when things get too busy or  Sometimes things go down a bit and that’s fine.  When you make a lifestyle change it is not about perfection it is about doing what you can and I usually try to do these habits at least three  to five times a week at times when I am very stressed because I feel I help keep track and they help reduce anxiety.  Yet enough with the introduction let’s get into the habits.  The first habit every day is to drink a glass of water as soon as I wake up.  Not as soon as I wake up – I brush my teeth, go to the bathroom and have a glass of water.  I find that this has made a huge difference in morning energy levels.  When we sleep we do not take water and when we wake up we may be dehydrated and when we exhale our levels of fatigue rise.  There is some science behind this – I will put it in the description box.  So the best thing you can do is start your morning by getting enough hydration.  If I feel like it, I’ll put a lemon in it and I don’t always do that and it’s usually room warm but if you like warm water it  It is about personal choice but drinking water in the morning is a good thing you can do for your energy levels.  The second amount I meditate for 10 minutes daily.  I was always very hesitant to meditate when I started.  I didn’t really believe in it I didn’t think there was science behind it but actually there is science.  It can do things like reduce anxiety, can help you improve your body function, can help you reduce pain.  There’s a lot I can do I’m not a natural person who might seem calm on YouTube but I’m not a naturally calm person.  Meditation – years of meditation have found me so far and I really think there are many benefits to trying this.  Now that you’re just starting out, meditation can seem very frustrating and I have two tips I can give.  So the first one tries to be more open by meditating at first.  The first 10 to 15 times for me were very difficult.  I didn’t know what I was doing and I felt frustrated and like I was doing it the wrong way.  It wasn’t until the 15th or 16th period that I actually got into it and started to see a profit.  The second thing you do when you start trying to meditate is to guess the meditation where you are doing it yourself.  Guided meditation can help you stay on track and can really guide you through the process.  I use an app called Calm – I highly recommend it.  There is also another app called Headspace to try.  Number three I go for an outdoor brush every day.  Now I have to say that I live in Canada so walking neatly outside every day is not possible all year round!  It does not happen in winter but it is done again
